Today was my last day of the internship so they kept me busy or atleast tried to keep me busy. I started off pulling the files and getting them ready for the next day. After that i folded laundry and cleaned tables. Then I filled the bottles that has the ultrasound gel in it. In the afternoon I got to work with a couple of patients. The first one had had surgery on their shoulder so i got them a heat pack and then i lead them through their exercises. WHich was not that many.
After this patient left another one came in that they always let me work with. So i got them started on the bike then led them in their exercises. It was really fun because i felt very comfortable with the patients i got to work with.
I am extremely happy that I was able to do my internship at Precision Therapy with the people who worked there. They were all friendly and taught me a lot of things. =]

9th
July 14,2010 8am-5pm
Today I started off the day Pulling files as usual. Then I helped get tables ready for a couple patients. Today half of the patients cancelled for one reason or another so it was a very slow day. So i basically just went around and cleaned things and made copies for the receptions area. After all that I reorganized the filing cabinet so they would actually close. I did learn something today though. I learned that sometimes one of the best thing to do for an injury is to heat it and massage it.

8th day
July 13,2010 8am-2:20pm
Started off the day folding laundry and cleaning tables. Then I pulled files and got them ready for the tomorrows appointment. The morning was pretty slow so all I did was make copies of documents needed for the patients files, clean, and find lost files. Then the afternoon came and I started by getting ice packs for one patient then moved on to led a patient through their exercises. Right before i left for the day I did an ultrasound on a patients shoulder. I love that the therapist trust me enough to let me do it by myself.

after 40 hours.
so far i have learned so much from this experience. i am happy that i decided to do it at percision therapy because it is teaching me a lot. i like the environment of the office and I think I definitely had want to go to college for this career. I can not wait to learn even more in this career. I was told though if i want to go into this career for sure i really should learn spanish. So i guess that is a new class i should start taking.
7th day
July 8,2010 8am-2:20pm
Today i did my usual folding laundry and pulling files. I wish i could say the day was really busy but it was not busy at all so once again the day went slow and there was not much to do. i did learn how to make copies off the different documents needed for the files. Since there was not much for me to do I searched for lost patient files and cleaned all the tables and equipment. Even though there was not much to do I still had a lot of fun. I really feel like im part of the group and I really like that.

6th day
July 7,2010 8am-5pm
I folded laundry today and helped put it away. Then I did another load of laundry. After i did this i started pulling files and made sure they had everything in them for the next day. It was a really slow day so there was not much for me to do. All i did was basically clean and help assist patients with their exercises.

5th day
July 1 8am-2pm
I started off the day by doing the usual pulling files for the next day. Then I helped lead a patient in their exercises. Today was a slow day so there was not much for me to do. In the morning I mainly just got tables ready for patients, cleaned tables and got either hot packs or ice packs for the patients. When the afternoon came though a couple of the patients who liked me told the therapist He was welcome to tell me what had happened to them and what he was doing to them. So one thing i learned was that scar tissue is not really absorbant so they do ultra sounds on it so it will absorb more water so it can move easier or something like that. it was really fun learning about these peoples injuries and why they are coming to physical therapy.
